Question BMW R1100 Help

Allo all you fine wrenches out there, looking for a little advice,

Have a bmw R1100RS, 94. Over the course of a month of daily driving, the bike has become progressively harder to start. more and more cranks required. Towards the end, required a choke. Once it is warm it idles correctly. Although I did notice a very even surge pattern in the revs. Like a metronome.
At this point, new battery installed it refuses to start at all. I don't think its an electrical issue. Any ideas?

Thanks

J. Isaac.

How many miles? And how many on the fuel filter?
Could be a plugged fuel filter, or bad fuel pump.
There is no "choke" on FI systems, the lever is just fast idle.
Check the injector elec connections for corrosion.
Pull the injectors and see if they squirt (could be dirty/clogged)
Pull the plugs, inspect, and see if they fire.
Valve adjustment ok? Are throttle bodies in sync?

Do a valvejob and throttle synch, it will need it.
Then set the idle at 1100ish revs.

For cold start, use the 'choke' on 'full', hit starter and set choke 'half'.
Ride a few km and return choke to normal.

Paul.

Fuel line

Mine did that and the problem disappeared after I replaced the old fuel lines and filter. I never do anything to fix any problem with mechanical problems until after I have done a tune up.

All you fine Wrenches

Problem solved.
After tracking hither and Thither, Faulty fuel line quick connect. almost no gas to one hemisphere.

Thanks for the reminder, new fuel filter, throttle synch and valve job in my near future.

Thanks for all the help. You are truly a brilliant bunch

Jerry.
