Wixom Mounts for a LWB /5

I picked up some Wixom bags, mounts, and the wrap-around bar for a hundo on eBay this week. They're rough, but I'm happy given the price.

What I can't sort out is if the mounts are wrong for my bike. They were advertised as having been used on a /7. Were the mounts for a LWB /5 (and presumably /6) different?

As you can sort of see in the pic, the rear mounting tab doesn't line up with the hole on the subframe which is where I presume it should be mounted. Do I need different mounts, or am I just not seeing how they're meant to be mounted?

You could also get a piece of 1" flat bar and cut it to length and put holes in each end to bridge the gap.

Wixom mounts for a LWB /5 where specif to that model and different from a /6 and /7 even though the rear frames are the same length. The easiest fix is the cut the one mounting point at the weld and move it. On the right side the mount was made to pivot down so you could open the seat. If you pay the shipping both directions I'll cut and move it for free or you could drive up to Chico and I can do it while you wait. I have a LWB /5 rear frame to use as a template.

Sweet, I'll take you up on that! I'll bead blast them to clean off the grit and send them your way with a return label, reusable packing, and a few bottles of Russian River beer.

Sounds like a plan.

Glad you found them. Would've been a shame for them to make the round trip back to me

Enjoy them. It's one of my favorites, and IMO a world-class beer. I didn't really even like IPAs until I tried Pliny.
