Not Pearl
No, not the R1200R (aka Pearl). I have two other bikes, a 1992 R100R and the /6 that Scott is working on. I had originally thought to put it on the /6 but upon further contemplation I decided that the Roadster might be the better choice. It's a bike that I originally bought from George and he agreed that it is the better choice. Stay tuned.

Snow in the Pass
It was all Nuttynu's fault! He posted his trip to Homer. I've wanted to get to Homer all summer. I wanted to camp on the spit but at this time of year his idea about Land's End was attractive, too. The more I thought about it the more I wanted to go. What a perfect end-of-the-season ride! But he was leaving on Wednesday and I couldn't go until Thursday afternoon. So what was stopping me. Absolutely nothing!
So the weather... On Thursday it was variable. Not bad in Anchorage, windy and pouring rain in Girdwood, snowing like crazy in the Pass, and then raining on and off down the Peninsula ending with rain in Homer. There were even a few sunny spots. Today on the way home the weather was MUCH better. Pretty much good until Girdwood and then rain into Anchorage. Pleasant on the Peninsula and dry in the Pass. A nice surprise. Saw Nutty yesterday somewhere around Soldotna. It looked like the Alaska State Troopers were keeping an eye on him. Thanks, NN, for the great idea! -KM |
