Clean up - Who's in???

While out on that ride the other day, COTrailRider mentioned something I been looking to do. A clean up of an area of Mt Herman Rd.

As some may know it has gotten pretty bad up there. More and more trash all the time. This be a perfect area to show how us Dual Sport riders are trying to keep our forest clean and promote our sport as a group that cares.

If there is interest, I will seek out and speak with Tom Healy to see what day, time and area they would like us to work on.

Come out and show support

Thanks for the link, and that is great news. Still many areas though, and that is good news they plan to close that upper shooting area on top (I assume that is the one).

Seeing as that area is huge, and I did not know of a group running a cleanup, there be plenty of areas to still do though. That lower shooting area is also bad, and I noticed people going deeper to shoot. Got that area off of FR315 too, or the one off Rampart Range Rd between Mt Herman and south to FR312 that looks pretty trashed.

I'll email Tom and see...

Hey Modette, Thanks for bringing up the cleanup. I will be there. Let me know when you get any info from the rangers and a date set.

Just got busy...but I plan to see if Tom wants to meet with me next week. I'll give him a call, (had his email but not anymore) which is okay as I want to meet the guy.
