Moto Guzzi Lemans 1000 worth anything????

A local has a 1986 Guzzi and I was wondering if its worth $$$$, nada shows about $1500 for it.
Do these bikes have any collector value?

They are fun bikes, some had 16" front wheels and some had 18" front wheels. Should be the same frame as the V7 and earlier Tonti bikes. If it ran and looked decent I'd probably give 1500 for it. How much is he asking?

Assuming no significant defects & a clear title, if you don't want to purchase it please pass the info on!

I was trying to figure out what something like this is worth, he wants a lot more than $1500, says its rare and one of the more desirable Guzzis.
On a Guzzi forum they say $3500-$4000. I'd get something newer for that much.

I'm not a "Guzzi guy" but any Lemans in nice condition has decent collector value, although I think the earlier models are the only ones to command serious money. If nice, $3K is probably not out of line. Again, I'm not an expert on Guzzi values.

The valuations in the online price guides are absolutely and completely worthless for any bike with collector value or any older bike in excellent stock condition.

Eh? $1,500 would be for a PARTS BIKE (early)

A NICE early example WILL cost in excess of $4,500!
Have fun.

Guzzi price

Ditto to the above.. The Mk IV is a nice bike, but the earlier models, Mk 1 - 3 are more sought after IMO. That said these will become more popular in time as well. If in good condition their asking price is at the higher end, but not silly money. For similar $$ I'd want the earlier model.. Expect to pay more for one in pristine order. $1,500 would likely only buy one ready for a strip down resto..
