Last week up in Big Bear I rode through a pack of 8 Jeeps and 4x4s heading down toward Dishpan... half mile later a pack of 10 coming up from Dishpan... what a cluster fuck they must have had passing each other. Spent all their weekend gas money and beer on that one trail alone.

I get the appeal of Jeepin' a little... but I don't get why they wanna build dirt-trains

Thank God I was on a bike.

More Fun

Some rocks are just more fun to drive than ride.

I'm Slow

What are you talking about I love to invite 20 of my closest friends with 1200 GS's to Goler Canyon and then see how slow we can go to get to Mengel and then have about half break and the other half spend the night at the top and then make it too Warm Springs on day 3 camp again then in 3 more days make it back to Ballarat. Whats not to love about that?

This thread got soooo off topic that we ended up in Big Bear?

I was looking for that new singletrack but all we found were wooped out blue groove freeways for side by sides (and lots of "trail restoration" - somebody put some work in asses). Sad actually, hadn't been up there in a few years and the trails have changed in a bad way....no need to ever go back. Might never make it to Pioneertown either?

I did kind of enjoy the rock gardens, Erzberg training?

Yes, found my xray specs after getting stuck behind a Prius conga line.
How about the look on the solo stock jeeper with his wife stuck in that hole of rocks! Stoopid tourists.

Now what was this thread about? Oh yeah, real mountains with real trails!

Let's go! I'll do my best to be up there early Friday, F' work.

PACK OF 8, shit more like 10 packs of 8, they were everywhere

I have NEVER seen soooo many jeepers up there doing the conga line thing I guess there was a jeepers convention going on
passing, no way were they passing each other, no room unless ur on a bike, then to see their when we make that shit look easy as there crawling along @ 1mph crushing the rocks to bitty pieces!
you could walk faster then the pace they go

singletrack, shit, there is only 3 miles total of that and its whooped out

and they wounder why we drive 3 hrs to get to the good stuff!!!

big bear sucks
