My uncle worked for NOAA for 37 years and could give a flying fuck what happens one way or the other, definitely not an alarmist, just a good old atmospheric scientist. He says buy vacation property in the northern climes. I already got mine....and there's great riding there. Taking my Dakar back there this Spring and leaving it.
It's happening no doubt. A billion engines burning gasoline can't be too good for the air. Cutting down trees, which filter the air can't be good either.

However, 10,000 years ago most of North America was buried under a mile high sheet of ice, and I'm sure the sabre tooth tigers didn't burn too much fuel to melt all that ice. So you could look at this either way and argue it till we die.

You guys think dinosaurs sat around blaming each other for the big freeze ? Or did they just go rock some new to them single track while the getting was good ?

I think back then all they had was Husqvarna.

For whatever reason there is no snow on the trails up in the Miami Trails region I can tell you for sure. I was up there power sliding a CanAm on dry dirt trails that have always had 4-5 feet of snow this time of year.

Well Jeff, this winter is dryer than ever, I think right now we could ride to the top of Sheman peak @ 9900' elevation. Who knows what normal is?
