Looks like a great ride. Maybe I can hitch a ride next time OC reps head up. It's so green ...the desert's been real good though

Stewards of the Sequoias trail maintenance

drove up yesterday to Mountain Mesa to meet Roger 'the trail boss' for some tree clearing on Trophy Trail.

he rolls up on his 500EXC with the chainsaw number plate. pretty nifty set up. (I didn't get a pic.)

we were meeting Limey up on the trail.

we get to work after a good warm up ride to our first downed huge tree.

then another tree

after

the machine waits patiently.

this massive tree is too big to cut, so we route the trail around it with a nice flow

a few more

had to re sharpen the chainsaw blades a few times.

another

more

a couple of huge ones here.

this would be our last as the sun was going away. and this one proved to be problematic because there was so much tension and binding.

the Trail Boss

hard, satisfying work.
Chris Horgan wasn't there because he had bike problems the day before while doing trail maintenance.

we cleared 19 trees. built water bars, rerouted trails, and cleared brush.
if we had a few more guys, we would have done way more trails.

Sierra Gateway Market supports SOS and provides lunches for us.
please support this business. and thank them for their support.

true dat.

Roger said, that quite a few of the trees we cleared were newly fallen in the last 2 months.

with all the fire damaged trees, there will be falling trees for years to come.

and we don't want to back down cuz the forest service will use that to close trails.

if you can't volunteer, donate at least $100 or more to http://www.stewardsofthesequoia.org

heck, it was close to $100 in gas to get my ass up there.

So what you're saying is that it costs $1 to transport my dick from RAZR's house to the Utes? That's a fucken deal, and RAZR should be competing with UPS and FedEx with shipping rates like that.

Other than that, I have no clue how I got brought into this conversation unless I'm always on your mind, Mike.

Glad you finally got your LI cherry popped. Now you understand why I say that CNF Sucks.

What exactly does that donation money go towards? Seems like you need manpower/labor more than money.
