I imposed an additonal two days on myself because I was such a dick to everyone in the past. Well I've turned over a new leaf, and you know what I found there.............................a steaming pile of bear shit.

Honestly, the riding has been great since I've been banned and I've got so much done. I think I'll give myself another 30 days, since I'm sure that all of the babies out there will be pressing the "report" button every time I post anyways.

Hey guys,
It's only four days till we ride the mountain single track up on the Green hill!
I'll be there friday afternoon or evening.
We will ride nice long loops both Saturday & Sunday. (100+ miles of the "good" stuff)

Wish I could make the ride but my foot needs another week or two before heading back out. Be out that way in November, I'm sure.

That is until he cuts every wire and blows every fuse on your bike leaving you to watch your buddies ride off as you are left in the pouring rain having to wait for your wife to pick you up because you can't get back home in the dark without a headlight.

However, he did let me use his sat phone to call her so she would not freak out if I hit the help button on my SPOT........so it's all good.

CALLING ALL SINGLE TRACKERS-VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

I figure there are more hard core ST rider here than over @ the racing site!
this is ur chance to get to know chris and help him fix/repair/open new trails-plus he brings u to some great trails that may have not been ridden in awhile!


We have about two volunteers signed for each of our upcoming Fall Trail Appreciation Days starting next Saturday and that is not nearly enough. Please check the dates below and see if you can help out on these single track trails and your lunch will be provided by Sierra Gateway Market.
Everyone complains about losing trails, but Stewards has been able to keep them open, in large part by formally adopting and the associated maintenance of almost 2000 miles of trails since 2005.
Stewards members need to continue to make good on that promise if they want the trails to stay open. Simple enough put up or loose trails.
Stewards has over 2400 members, but less than 1% step up to volunteer.
It would be great if everyone would invest just one day a year into our proven Trail Appreciation volunteer program to help keep trails open. Many thanks to the few who are doing their part, but they cannot do it all. We need more to step up. Another possibility would be for Stewards to hire people to help maintain the trails so if you cannot volunteer please consider donating instead.


TRAIL APPRECIATION DAYS REQUIRING DIRT BIKE ACCESS

• 10/20/12 Leibel Peak Trail
• 11/10/12 Location to be determined depending on weather and soil conditions
• 12/1/12 Location to be determined depending on weather and soil conditions

Those who Register will get a great lunch provided by Sierra Gateway Market. About one week prior to each event we will determine the project location based on weather and soil conditions. Those who register will receive staging information at that time.
Working on the trails is not only fun but rewarding. Stewards Trail Appreciation program has proven to be one of the best ways to help stop trail closure and also guarantees the Forest Service and BLM will look far more favorably at ways to work with us to keep trails open.
While everyone would just prefer to enjoy the trails, the fact of the matter is the Forest Service lacks the manpower to maintain them all. So without our help many of the trails could be closed.

We need a few good people who want to put some love back in their trails.
We need to clean out the water bars we built in prior years and cut back brush to keep the trails open. These will be single track projects requiring dirt bike access due to their remote nature.
