Glad you're alright Perry!

Missing motorcyclist found safe near Sequoia Lake

By Jim Guy - The Fresno Bee
Fresno County Sheriff's deputies located a motorcyclist who went missing in the Sierra on Monday after his motorcycle broke down.
The search for Perry Vance, 53, was launched in the Sequoia Lake area after he did not return from a ride, spokesman Chris Curtice said. His truck and dog were found on Millwood Road south of the lake. Calls to his cell phone were not answered and a search was launched.
Vance's motorcycle was found about 8 p.m. along with his helmet and jacket. Vance was found about 10 p.m. in good health, although he had walked about 20 miles, Curtice said.

Thumb Good to be home. Thank you ALL....

So much for a Sunday afternoon ride, this one turned bad when I crashed off the low side of the trail two hours before dark. It's a long story I'll get to later. A huge thank you to everyone! It's nice to know that when things like this happen, there are so many people Ready to help.
Max is fine, he had ribs and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich last night.

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Perry

Adam, Verplank does have a point of NO return, I was right there yesterday. Bad judgement on my part.

Hey perry, if you need some r and r I will be camped in reedley on the kings river. Will be up there Thursday afternoon till Sunday. Beer floats Friday and Saturday. I got room in my raft since the family is staying home. Private campground so no quiet time. It's a real party. Just bought 60 beers.

perry, i like most had the map out and was ready to go find ya!
glad ur OK

when we were riding up there a few weeks back, i was thinking of perry and him riding those trails alone. cause some of them were . not knowing what was below!
there were also few spots we needed a push from another to get up/over!

maybe we can set-up a fund to get perry a "spot", or maybe someone has an old one they dont use anymore that can donate to a good cause!!

lets hear the story

Thumb Bike Recovered & Thank You!

Thanks for all the offers on the bike recovery but my bike was recovered this afternoon by my good friends and riding buddies Kevin & Adrian! You guys are awesome & obviously better riders than me!!

My wife, son, & daughter also wanted me to thank all of you for your concerns and quick responses to come and aid in the search for me.

Pictures & ride/hike report will soon follow! I actually hiked more miles than I rode this time...

Wow! That was absolutely insane! We just got back from
Getting Perry's bike. That trail goes strait down a ridge and does not have any rest areas or turn arounds. This is nothing but a goat trail and I would not recommend riding this trail. Wow Perry! You are the man! Kevin and I thought that we may not get out either.
