Cool2 Sunday, part III continued from post#1252

Sunday the 14th it was down to Catfish and me, here's the pics of the day.

Mike had never been on "the Plunge" Lost Rider had cleared downfalls for us just a few days earlier, thanks Finn!

the trail is fast and wide at the bottom

we had perfect weather

here's Catfish on one of the many switchbacks on the way up

picking our way through the rocks

up into the meadowlands.....

almost no snow! a dry year for sure.

single track snow crossing, Catfish and Ms. Beta

Big Meadow corral

Caution; entering "the Plunge"!

this trail drops over 5000' in just a few miles...."cover your brakes"

Mike took this great panorama shot on the way down the hill

nice view of the green hill

the flowers were in full bloom

We ended the day with a Blue Ribbon, a leftover from Death Valley Daze, thanks RAZR!

It was a great three days of riding in the mountains, thanks to all who made it up there. See ya on the trail.....Perry

Nice pictures Perry! I wish I could have stayed and ridden with you guys on Sunday. A beer sounded good when I got back to the trucks, but I just changed threw everything and hauled arse. I rode from where we turned around back to the trucks metal to metal on the rear brake. I wore halfway through the backing plates on the pads and the rotor took a beating as well. fun times....

Ben, could you mic. the rear rotor? I'm curious to see how thin you wore it.

Great riding with you as always.

Yeah, well that two bit whore was making three bit whore noises going back down just outstanding. I was showing no mercy and it was making squealing noises and grunting sounds that should only be heard in the dark.

It was a last minute decision on my part to ride with you guys that day so I just pulled the 500 out of the trailer and gave it a once over and headed out. I just had come back from the Nevada 200 the previous weekend so I didn't do my normal thorough bike prep. Grinch is actually the one who noticed my brakes were worn wayyyy down.
