Ed, I know I'm a ways from OC but if you want to store your container and bikes here (Plenty of room), you're welcome.

Yellow Fever

I didn't get my shots before I left. I figured I would get them on the road as needed.
I know at some point I am going to need my Yellow Fever shot.
And today was the day - here in Puno Peru.
I got right in
It cost me one Solas which is about 40 cents.
It makes me think how screwed up our health care system is
I hear it from other travelers from other countries
That and how screwed up our legal system is and how everyone sues everyone else.
The US is the laughing stock of the world in those regards.
And nothing will get done until the polititions take their hands out of those special interests pockets.
Yes, I might have to pay a couple of dollars here and there as a bribe but health care is costing me much more than it should be
Just my 2 cents

Bolivia

I made it to Bolivia today.
It is my 14th country so far.
The border crossing was easy but costly.
Bolivia requires a visa for Americans USA)
The visa cost $135.
Seems a few countries are charging the same.
And that is the fee charged only for Americans. Its free for most others.
Bolivia charges that amount because that is what we charge people from Bolivia to visit the US......that is if there visa is approved.
So Bolivia says.......what's good for you is good for us.
Sometimes it is costly to be an American.
But I am staying in Copacabana on Lake Titicaca. I have a room over looking the lake for $14 a night and my trout, rice potatoes salad dessert and glass of wine cost only $7.
I dont blame Bolivia.........they are just sending the US a message.
I think I am going to like it here

One of the best scenes of the movie!

Hey Lalo,
If you are not already doing so you should probably keep a log of all the wines you have sampled along with their country of origin. If you had done so from the beginning of the trip you would already have enough data to write a book and, without a doubt, enough data to write a series by the time you get back.

Keep it coming. It looks like the last month may have been the best part of the trip.

Yes, I am keeping a log of the wines and wineries.
I am planning to get a blog going.
I just need to find the time
And next month looks like it is shaping up to be even better.
Bolivia is amazing
Argentina will hit the wineries.
And I have a special visitor meeting me in La Paz on Friday
Pictures forthcoming

Yep, it's been a roller coaster ride at times. But I am having the time of my life.
I pulled out my world map and was doing some long term planning.
I need to curtail the wine purchases otherwise I will run out of money and come home before I see all of this planet.
And if you get fired at your job, it will give you an excuse to join me

I've been meaning to ask, how many bottles of wine can you fit in those side cases?
