This sucks

Well, I made it thru the day.
And today was my hardest day yet.
I thought all those drugs the doctors were pumping thru my body yesterday would have done something by now.
I still have a fever albeit lower now
And my energy level is up just a tad.
But now I have this ragging headache
I still have the chills one minute and break out in to a sweat the next minute.
Still dizzy and can't see straight.
My stomach is cramppy and I have not been able to eat much
I haven't left this bed for three days now other than go the bathroom, which is like clockwork - every two hours. My ass is now beyond raw and I dread when the two hours are up and I have to go
For the first time, I have the time to look at other people's adventure blogs. On one hand, they make me want to see more of the world. But right now, it all looks pretty good spectating from a comfy sofa in California with a glass of Russian River Pinot Noir in my hand.
I guess this is one reason why there are not more people doing this kind of thing. When things go well, everything comes up smelling like roses. But when you have been flat on your back for 3 days because of some microscopic terrorists that have invaded your body, makes you want to call it quits and head home.
But since I sold my home, I guess that is not an option.
I keep telling myself........all this shall pass
Tomorrow is a new day. And I hope it is a day free of pain.

Wife and I made the same hike while in Skagway ( Dewey Lake). Did you make the complete loop around the lake? I just found this ride report and am enjoying it. I hope all is well with you.

With that said, that is all I am going to say.
The personal stuff is between us.
And I hope it stays that way.

But I do have a situation that I am trying to deal with from afar.
I have a storage container on her property with some motorcycles and other personal possessions that I need to move to another site.
It is not as simple as just moving the container as the motorcycle would all fall over in transport. I need to move the individual bikes and the container separately.
I cant just hire a moving company as I dont trust them to move motorcycles.
It is looking like I might need to fly home for a few days to deal with this situation.
There has to be a easy solution to this.
I need to sleep on it.
And I didn't get much sleep last night worrying about

Hey Lalo, I have been catching up on your RR! Excellent, love the camping in out of the way beaches, your attitude (usually!), and your outdoors (camp-hike-tramp-climb-swim-soak) direction.
Right now I'm several months behind your current updates. But I do live in the LA area, (SoCA) and if I could help you with your "storage" situation, please contact me. Dunno if you have worked it out by now.

Thanks again for your inspiring posts, I must be #28, a late arrival. But you are becoming a part of my day, (along with coffee in the AM, a dark Beer in the PM)

hit bottom yet???

I am starting to feel better but I am still not ready to get on a plane and risk it.
I honestly think this is the most sick I have ever been.
I still have a headache and my stomach is not quite right.
I am gaining my strength back but I am still feeling tired all of the time.
I have Kathe's mom taking care of me and Kathe flew in from Miami late last night but flies out again tonight. Like women do, they are making sure I don't do anything stupid like eat any more ice cream for breakfast. Kathe asked me what I wanted for lunch and I responded......"Burger King". She of course laughed and said "no way".
But to me it was about the only thing that sounded good.
Instead, I had more chicken soup and crusty bread. At this point, I am having to force myself to eat that stuff.
When I was in Colombia and got sick, I didn't have anyone there taking care of me there. For dinner, I phone ordered and had delivered to my hostel a bacon cheeseburger and a chili dog. In a doctor's book, probably the worst thing I could have ate but it sounded good and tasted even better. And for the recorded, I licked those body invading terrorists in about 2 days. Here, with these wonderful women's care and diet of chicken soup and bread, I am going on day 4 of being sick and still feel awful.
Tomorrow, I might sneak out of the house and grab and Whopper and....... HAVE IT MY WAY

Thanks for the offer.
But I got most of my stuff out a couple of months ago thanks to the help of some very dear friends I will never forget for it.
I still have some things there that were held back for some reason like a Dainese track suit, a FM helmet and a few bottles of not so good wine.
But my ex GF told me she would be as kind to box that stuff up and put it out on the curb for me to pick up.

Enjoy a dark beer for me. I will see if I can convert you to wine by the time you catch up

It weirds me out that I was distracted all day worrying that a total stranger may have gotten sicker because said total stranger wasn't posting anything on ADV. I used to have a life, what did I do with it? Maybe it never get unpacked after we moved. Did I loan it to someone and never got it back? I bet that's what happened….
Don't leave us hanging like that again. Your tribe here were worried about you. Glad you're on the mend.
