UTIs suck for women, but I hear are worse for men.

I had kidney stones before, but didn't bleed until I passed them. Some say passing them is painful, but it was relief and relaxing for me, I was actually happy to see blood. Prior to passing them I was throwing up and running a fever with severe sweats.

I'd say drop the wine and beer for a few days and start slamming water.

If the Cipro doesn't help quickly, get your butt into a doctor pronto. Good luck.

UTI - I get them all the time. Kidney stones so big they've taken one out through my back. Pissing out of your back is a new experience...

Drink water or clear fluids, rest, antibiotics, doctor, rest, drink water. Better to take the time to get over the hump than push yourself and make it worse.

If it does get better, finish the antibiotics! If you don't, it could come back with a vengeance.

So, what said the doc?
Cheer up. You can allways think you aren´t seeing blood. You are seeing red...

Starting to feel better now

The last couple of days really sucked.
Almost as bad as sitting behind a desk and looking at a computer all day.
But the weather was so fricking beautiful here in Norway, I just didn't want to waste it.
I rode about 200 miles or so each day.
Not much
But it felt like a thousand.
I had to stop every half hour to piss
And it hurt a lot
It seemed like the more water I drank, the less it hurt.
But it also made me piss more.
Plus I had a fever.
I had to put on my electric vest and that helped
But then I got too hot
Then too cold
But the hardest part was feeling weak and dizzy.
I had no energy to handle this 350 kilo bike
But some how I managed
The scenery here in Norway is breathtaking but I couldn't enjoy it.
I started to feel better today and all of a sudden the mountains were more beautiful, the sky was more blue and the riding was enjoyable again.
I am still not feeling 100 percent.
I got a case of the squirts this afternoon. I think it was some bad chicken last night.
Or it might be the tap water here. I am not sure. But I don't want to pay $4 a bottle for water.
But tomorrow is a new day
And when I was sick, I was not having fun and felt like ending the trip.
Now, I am looking forward to my future travels, where ever I may go from this point.
It just taught me a lesson how important good health is.
Without it, you have nothing.

Thanks for all of your support and well wishes.

Sweden

After crossing from Denmark to Sweden, I blazed north to Oslo Norway

But I did camp one night in Sweden
I was riding along the coast and looking for a good spot
My hopes were different from reality

I thought I would find a spot on the coast, hang my hammock between to pine trees and watch the sunset over the water.

But it didn't happen
Everything was fenced off

So this is the crappy spot I found.
It was just a clearing off the side of the road.
But I sleep well

When I got to Oslo, there were 3 things that I wanted to see

The first was the opera house
Not as cool at the one in Sydney, but still nice
It is supposed to resemble a glacier.

The second thing that I wanted to see was "The Scream"
That is the famous painting by Munch. He is a famous artist from Norway.
I wanted to see the painting because I remember reading about it some time ago and that it sold for $100,000,000.
And that is when I thought about why a painting like that could be so valuable.......(read back at my thoughts on the Mona Lisa)

And I also read that the museum was FREE
And since everything in Norway is expensive, I had to go just because it was something that I could do that wouldn't cost me hundreds of dollars.
Just fill my gas tank up here costs about $85.
More on that latter.....

But when I went to the little museum, it turns out it cost about $20 to get in
Well, you know what they say about being too good to be true
And I wasn't going to pay $20 to look at some silly over priced painting.
And at $20 a head, it will take some time to pay off the 100 MIL they paid for it
But if you know me, I tried to find another way in.
Sneaking in was out of the question.
I didn't want to go to jail (even though I would think a jail in Norway would be nicer than my usual sleeping arrangements)
Then I saw a sign that children were free to get it.
So I got one child ticket and proceeded to the guy that collects the tickets.
I handed him the ticket and he looked at me and then looked at the ticket and then looked at me again.
There was a long awkward pause
And then he said....."how old are you?
And with a straight face, I said I was eleven.
And then there was another long awkward pause
And then he said......"I can't let you in"
And I said, "why not, I am eleven and that is my ticket"
And he said, "no you are not"
And I said, "yes, I am , I was born on February 29th. I am in fact 11 years old.
Now there was an even longer awkward pause, and he said, sorry, I can not let you in.
There was some other stuff that followed but in the end, I left without seeing The Scream.
Oh well
Not the end of the world
