Heidenau front ??

Don't risk your front tyre going all the way to Helsinki and know that Finland isn't much cheaper on motorcycles !!
Try the BMW dealer in Tromso, they are at the Skattørveien 52 or call them at

is there like a Craigslist in Norway where you might find a usable tire for a decent price?

I was trying to find something in Norvik.
I was looking for a motorcycle shop there
I don't think I am going to the top of Norway now.
The weather has turned bad and I just want to get on the other side of the mountains where I think it will be better.
I have no idea they would have a BMW dealer in Tromso. They must close for 8 months out of the year.

That is kind of what I was thinking
Stopping at a BMW dealer and finding the best 19 inch tire in their discarded tire pile waiting to go to the dump.
The tire I used on my GS for the trip down to Cabo with my ex Gf and then all the way up to Whitehorse Yukon was such a tire. Discarded by another but I got another 7000 miles out it.

Not even close to done with your RR, but great stuff so far. I should be caught up by the time you finish your trip!

Thats a real pity Lalo. At least try to get to Tromso before you turn east. Don't judge the weather on the mainland from that on Lofoten. It is an Island after all.

The BMW dealer closes for 1 month a year...in the summer sometime. I tried to go there in 2008 and it was shut. The good news is that right opposite is/was another bike shop that could also help, assuming the bikers in Harstad couldn't?
