Yeah the manager was a BIG one
The two bouncer happen to be Asian or Pacific Islander and they are quite polite when approach us. After our talk they actually let us stay but Ed want to leave to find some good Mexican foods I wish I can join them but I was a goner

All the stuff looked pretty good.
I had a couple of broken wine glasses but that was about it.
There were some small items that didn't make the move.
But I was hoping to find my Garmin GPS mount and my motorcross helmet, but they were not there. those items must have been left in my ex gf garage.
The cars all started right up so that is what I was most happy about. All the batteries were dead on the bikes so I just left them.
But they looked good

A picture from last night.
Meet up with JetJockJim for a Chimay and a Youngs Chocolate Stout at Heroes.
AKMotorRider met up with us at Spaghetti Factory.
We were all asked to leave again. But this time it was closing time.

I think most of them.
There might have been a few missing like a Nickel & Nickel, Turley and Lorca Pinot but I would bet my life on it.
I just glad the Vintage Krug and Opus One were still there.

Ed, haven't been to SoCal for a few months...please do me a favor and grab a Tommy's double chili cheese burger for me and snap some pics!

Last question, does it feel weird being back? Almost like another adventure or is it as though you never left?
When I was a kid, I used to collect bottle caps and beer cans. I still had some beers that are now 20 to 30 years old. We all know that most beer goes bad with age. But I gave these beers to my friend because he has a beer tasting competition at his home every.year. These beers will be given out and drank not as a reward but as a punishment.
I will feel sorry for whom ever has to drink them.

Short but sweet.

Hope u get the commission from my purchase as well. Thanks to you I ended up with a Chimay blue grand reserve the other night. Still waiting for the right time to try it. Probably won't mix well with my Jameson though lol

bureaucracy

I have been so busy this past week.
I wish I had more time to visit with my friends but I have been dealing with my things in storage and getting things ready for my trip to SE Asia. I am going around buying supplies I will need.
Yeaterday, I went to the DMV to renew the registration for my BMW.
They told me that I couldnt renew it because I had let the insurance laspe.
I argued that the motorcycle was not in the US but they didnt care.
So the next day, I went to AAA to get insurance. It cost me a few bucks but I needed to get my new tags.
So then I went back to the DMV, stood in line for an hour and showed them my proof of insurance but they told me I needed to call the DMV or go on line and pay a $14 penalty that could not be done at the DMV office.
I left the DMV again without my tags.
What a load of crap I thought.
I then found a McDonalds to get wifi.
I was able to pay the fine and then went back to the DMV to get my tags.
This time I was successful.
After that, I went back to AAA and canceled the insurance. They were not happy but I told them it was the only way I could get my motorcycle registration renewed. And I didnt need the insurance. It would do me no good outside the US. The lady asked me why I didn't tell the bike was in Albania. And I told her.......you didn't ask. I needed the insurance just because the DMV wouldnt give me my tags without it.
Bureaucracy is such a waste of time.

Welcome to California. I used to hate dealing with the DMV there. Has to be one of the worst experiences ever. I honestly think they enjoy making people as miserable as they are. I'm now in Utah and I cannot believe the difference. The people in my local DMV are helpful and the fees are a fraction of what they were in Cali.

Sometimes I feel like our society is geared towards rewarding the idea of keeping up with jones' (or overspending and foreclosure, for that matter) and makes it incredibly difficult to spend extended time out of the country and pursue adventure. Could be wrong, but I thought I had heard that you're not technically supposed to be able to renew registration from abroad, but you will then pay penalties if you don't take care of it in the normal time frame?

wtf...

They have a Web site that will allow me to pay online. But I won't be able to receive renewal notices and I will need to carry additional paperwork with me.
After a day like today, I could go for a blue Chimay right now.
