I think I saved an American guy's life in Vietnam. We shared a sleeper with him... and his new bride. He was popping Imodiums like lollies.

You can explode your guts with those things.... according to my Doc. Do it and you die.

His very stern warning to me was.... one pill per diarrhea episode. That's not once each time you go to the toilet.... its one each time you get sick.

Lalo. If immodium doesnt work first time you should probably stop using it. Some bacterial infections have to run their course and are unaffected by immodium. Drink plenty of water or rice-water. Consulting a doctor would be a good idea.

I was getting noble at the barn today, and saw it. It's in the May issue, not the April.

I am feeling much better now.
I took some antibiotics and now things are back to normal.

I have been riding on the famous Ho Chi Minh trail north of De Nang. ........and oh man what a difference. HCM trail in the south is just a busy, boring road. But here in the north, it is one of the most amazing roads i have been on.......top ten for sure.
And the traffic has pretty much completely disappeared. In fact, you can ride for an hour and not see another car or bike. The road twists thru the mountains like a serpent - affording amazing views around every turn.
I am so happy i have my 250 here. It is such a perfect bike for Vietnam......plus it attracts attention like a ladyboy to a farang.
I will try and post some pictures soon. But there not many opportunities for wifi and internet here in these remote stretches of Uncle Ho's trail.

Seem to be having a hard time finding a copy of Cycle World here at the news stands in Vietnam. Can someone tell me what it says?

Glad to hear you are better, Ed.

You might recall us discussing the Ho Chi Minh Trail, when we were in Chiang Mai last year?

I think they are having a lend of you, if they are telling you that its near Da Nang. All you will be seeing there will be, at best, infiltration trail areas.

The Ho Chi Minh Trail (which was actually a 20,000 kilometre network of trails) ran in Laos and Cambodia.... not in Vietnam.

The Vietnamese called it the Truong Son Strategic Supply Route, btw.

This reinvention of trails in Vietnam as supposedly the "Ho Chi Minh Trail" there seems to be nothing but a tourist scam.
