opportunities

Ed, if your actually looking for the chance to write for some of the big publications you might want to consider riding over to Flagstaff next weekend for the Overland Expo. A huge get together of real and wantabe explorers from around the country and world.. Bring a sleeping bag, tent and down jacket and see who you bump into. If you do, stop by Adventure Pockets and I will supply the Fat Tire. B

Actually, they were trying to book me as a speaker there, but it was too late and their schedule was full.
Maybe next year

Some of the best riding is up there in the trinity alps area.

Been a fan of Chimay (Blue), Deliruim, Leffe, Westmalle, and Trappiste Rochefort (#10) for years. About a year ago my oldest son turned me on to St. Bernardus abt 12...

...gotta say, now one of my favs.

I'm up in Valencia, north of LA about a half an hour. If you get the itch to do a bit of tasting, give me a heads up, and drop by. I've got em all. Also, literally, have a Wine Cave built into the house, if you care to taste a few varietals :-)) Three empty bedrooms to crash in afterwards.

I've enjoyed your adventure, mine (mini one) starts the end of July.

Dave In Valencia

PS...If you'd like to try something that'll tickle your tongue. Try The Lost Abbey's Agave Maria. Tequila blended and aged in Anejo/Reposado barrels for about a year. Guaranteed you'll smile with this one. 13.5%, a bit pricey at $17 for a 12oz bottle, but worth it :-))

Look like you need to stop by Dave in Valencia first then come back to our local bars in OC so we can go over in details of your next Edventure

I was a big fan of the Abt 12 but i bought a bottle in Paris and it was a bit of a let down. Maybe a bad bottle. I stopped by the brewery in Belgium for a real taste but it was closed.
And beer blended with tequila sounds like a match made in heaven so i will save my pennies and be on the look out for that one.
And i would love to take a tour of your wine cave with a glass in one hand and a corkscrew in the other
Let me see if i can made some time before i take off for my next Edventure.
And you have some pretty nice roads around your area.......of course to be ridden before the wine cave tour and not after
