I recently saw a biker and his woman in a rest area, he was on crutches, minus 1 leg.. I had noticed them by the bike in the parking lot but had not noticed his situation. When I went out of the eating area I checked out his bike, a big ole harley....there were no modifications other that a sling for the crutch... ride on when you are ready...

Hey Terry----I'm so sorry about your crash, and I'm sending good thoughts your way, and hoping that your new normal will be satisfying in it's own way. Keep your chin up, and know we are pulling for you.

Very sorry to hear it, praying for a quick recovery process and that you adjust well.
This is wacky, only an idiot would leave measurable skid marks in a panic stop on a bike, ABS or not I would think. Police really shouldn't base anything off the non-existence of skid marks (cage or bike for that matter). Everything I've got except for the H1 (maybe) will stand on it's nose before it locks up a front and I modulate the rear enough that it doesn't skid much (and in a panic it'll have virtually no weight so not much of a mark even if it were to skid).

Peace
Terry,
Hearing of another biker taken down by yet another inattentive driver always hits close to home for most of us, me especially. I am very sorry to hear of your injuries, but glad to notice the honesty in your communication, it shows good character and strength. You will need it in the future. If there is anything you need help with, ask.... you might be surprised who pops out of the blue with just what you need. People are really strange around folks who are recently injured, they just don't know what to do or say, so they often do nothing. From my own experience, I offer this advice. Tell people what you need, be honest with yourself and with them. You just never know, there is still plenty of good left in lots of people and they want to help, they just need to know it is welcome. Good luck and Godspeed in your recovery, sincerest best wishes. Mike
