Another run-of-the-mill boring sunset from Alpine rd

About dark thirty rolled into Alices for Burger & Beer

Found it. Thanks for the roads. Definitely on my list of rides.

Funny, but that red car parked on the google map was in the same spot when I got there , totally different season.

In the million times I've done that road I just can't place it- and I have some insane ability to memorize roads like this. Ah well, I'd know it if I was there.

And on that pic from Alpine, Dave, it seems once again great minds think alike:

Beautiful late sunset. Difficult to beat the California Coast for sunsets.

If you are familiar with Google Maps and Street View you can see the bridge Dave photographed on the first link.

I'm trying to figure out who is following who on these rides

One of the things I enjoy with the photography is to try and capture familiar things from a different perspective, which is really easy if I walk down to the creek because most never do, but the bridge I used a very wide angle lens from a perspective you would never have riding it (unless of course you were running off the road )

Here's another shot that drove the local riders nuts because most of them have been by this to many times to count but only a small percentage knew where it was. Most said it looked familiar, I'm sure it does to you.

Really enjoying the thread Dave… from the reflective moments taking in the full scope of the pics and posts to the mix of thoughts on Cali and everyones connection to the great beauty and super fine roads there.

I have not checked in since the Bobcat photos. Glad this was bumped up top where I saw it again. Thanks for taking us along!

Oh man, I know this one, but the time of year you took the shot is throwing me off. Hint?

New Years Ride

Starting the new year off right.....taste testing Tri- Tip out of a red plastic cup @ The Junction . Little details like them being closed for business are not going to stop me from eating there!

Yes, this is a shameless plug for one of my favorite hangouts, met the new owners today and they seem like great people and the food is incredible. Finally I can look forward to the food as much as the riding again. they're trying to open by mid January.

Still scrubbin in new tires I was really just out for a ride, but man, the clouds and haze made things interesting enough to Enjoy the moment for awhile more than I planned.

That's when I ran into Veefereeer up at the observatory. Moto Photo extraordinaire himself, it's not often I run into other riders that want to discuss photography as much as I do. Great to meet you up there man!

.....and of course always time to stop for an end of day sun setting over the twisties

Corral Hollow. You've ridden by it plenty of times, just have to turn your head to the side instead of looking at the next apex
