husqvarna 650

Not sure if this is old news however an article from last week. Looks like Husky's new model is real for 2013, some more choice in the 650 single class.Would love to see 640 adv style specs somewhere in the line up.

I had heard that they were dropping the 630 and using the Rotax 650 mill in a few bikes, but I didn't really want to believe it...

Good bye 610 line...

You seemed like such an awesome platform to start from.

Truly a sad day for those who wanted to buy a new big bike that could actually be used off road.

Who TF calls a bike "Nuda" .. Put the 900 donk in the 650.

They do look a bit gay.

I believe the politically correct term is that they look very BMW like.

Apparently the target weight is around 174kgs, so it's not a replacement for the TE630/610 range. It's really a new class of bike for Husky, but not one I'm interested in. Personally I don't see the point of a 174kg single, as they are much more road oriented than dirt, so why wouldn't you buy a twin like the 800GS, which doesn't weigh much more but would be far more long legged on the road?

Unfortunately the mighty TE looks like it's on its way out, with no talk of a replacement. Shame, as I absolutely love mine, owned it for just under a year and never enjoyed a bike more. Looks like my next bike will be Orange, in the shape of the 690R.

What's the point of making another ugly, heavy, slow single? Don't they already make the KLR?
