Someone from the Colorado Springs area wanted others to burn...? "Let the fire judge them", eh?

No surprise here...

That town is full of...fire-starter types.

You guys saw these, right?

"According to [Teller] County Sheriff Mike Ensminger, his office is now investigating 21 suspicious fires. Six of those were reported on June 18, during a period of just six hours.

At a community meeting Monday evening, he praised the residents of his community for their attentiveness and desire to catch the person responsible. He says his office has fielded reports of over 100 vehicles of interest."

http://www.kktv.com/news/headlines/More_Wildfires_in_Teller_County_Investigated_15996 2395.html

"With 20 small fires intentionally set in the town and in surrounding Teller County this week, residents worry that another fire could become more serious and grow into a major wildfire like the area's Hayman Fire in 2002, threatening lives and property.

"I think (arsonists) are running in a team because you're hearing of fires on different sides of the county at the same time," said resident Tim Baysinger."

http://www.krdo.com/...nl/-/index.html

"Sheriff Mike Ensminger said the fires stretched across several neighborhoods off Highway 24 near Divide. He identified Cedar Mountain Road, the Aspen Village area, Aspen Hills, the Catamount area, Rosewood Hills, the Holiday Hills area and Twin Rocks Road toward the Fossil Beds as targets.
The sheriff said a trail winds through that entire area. The sheriff said the person or people responsible may have used that trail and ATVs to set so many fires so quickly."

http://www.krdo.com/...tz/-/index.html

They're questioning whether or not the Waldo Canyon Fire (the big one in the Springs) was started by an arsonist, too.

Here's a pic I took of one of the arsonists fires, I believe. This was taken from the rock quarry near the intersection of FR348/Long Hollow Road and Rampart Range Road and I believe I was facing the Rainbow Falls area though this could have been even further away, maybe the Divide area?

No apparent shortage of ignorant folks in the "Front Range" either.

Al-Qaeda blamed for Europe-wide forest fires http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worl...est-fires.html

Al-Qaeda has been blamed for a recent series of forest fires across Europe, as the head of Russia's Federal Security Service claimed they were set by arsonists as part of the group's low-cost attack strategy.

Another Arson fire was started last week near rifle:

Posted: Oct 05, 2012 6:45 AM MDTUpdated: Oct 05, 2012 8:38 PM MDT
RIFLE, Colo. (AP) - Forest officials in western Colorado say this year's wildfire season is lingering longer than usual.
White River National Forest spokesman Bill Kight says a second significant area wildfire in less than two weeks is a reminder that the danger isn't over.
Kight and Bureau of Land Management spokesman David Boyd say they can't remember the last time the local wildfire danger has lingered so late into the year.
A roughly 1,000-acre wildfire north of Rifle was 60% contained Friday. Strong winds pushed it into the forest on the west side of the Grand Hogback. Fire officials say it was human caused but haven't released details.

It's called a joke. Apparently no one in Colorado Springs has any humor, either...or you guys are just very, very sensitive. Maybe a little of both?

I was just playing off the irony of such a pious place burning, at the hands of the wicked no less!

The only irony is that you think you're funny.

ESTES PARK, Colo. - A wildfire is burning in Rocky Mountain National Park on Tuesday afternoon, causing the evacuation of Moraine Park campground and Fern Lake Road, park officials said on Twitter.
Firefighters are heading to the area.
One caller told 7NEWS the smoke is so thick it's ringing the sun.
Other residents say that smoke is billowing over Estes Park.
Moraine Park is an area where people view elk
