Creating a bike

Any Dutch on here that know these guys?
http://www.rallybikecenter.com/index_en.php

I am hoping they are my solution for putting a bike together for this little trip. Going to pay them a visit in the coming days to decide on the requirements.

Damian, despite being ginger, you will note has gone for white starship trooper boots, he is absolutely determined to condemn hetro-sexuality to a minority status, all by himself.

He has now progressed to log crossing and log laying simultaneously, which is an art. All we need to do now is ensure the skills build up and the clock counts down!!

Gay boots

Ibbo,

I am willing to give Damian the benefit of the doubt regarding his gay white boots. Maybe it was not the colour that attracted him, but the cut of the boot and the lovely supple leather, combined with the style of the heel and the way the tassels swished when he walked.

18 days to first training camp!!

And eerrrrrrr, no. Not THAT kind of camp!

Owen,

I am hoping there are some lovely 2 into 1 pipes for the orange team?

2-1 pipes and petrol containers. Plus some other goodies for dale to get his bike to a similar spec to yours.

Hi Pebble,

A bit of luxury in the desert could be just what is needed.

How much is your mate looking to get for them?

Preparations and training.

Right Gang,

Preparations are progressing at an enormous rate on knots, so thought it would be ideal to get some photos uploaded.

First up my Dakar Beast.

[IMG][/IMG]

Clearly, if one is good, two is better. Dale's machine in the back.

With only 6 months and a few days until we line up in Almeria we thought it wise to waste no time in getting in some serious training. Thankfully, after a few moments reflection we realised that we needed a meeting to plan our training. So we met with a bottle of red, a bottle of white shortly followed by this chap from Scotland. (he was full before we started!)

As you can imagine, when the meeting concluded it was lights out!

On a more serious note, bike prep photos and notes to follow.

Bike mods

First up,

UK training tyres sorted.

[IMG][/IMG]

Reckon I have pretty much mastered tyre changing by hand, whether or not I can do it in the heat of the desert remains to be seen, though it could make me popular within the Team!

When refitting the front brake discs use a torque wrench - torque setting on the bolts is surprisingly low !
