Day 9 - July 7

Mike and Frank.

Mike is a Canadian that married a local lady and has lived here for 20 years or more. He teaches English classes and does Voice Overs on Video. He is also the voice for some famous character in Mexico! I ask for his autograph, but he turned me down! Mike has guided us on about 600 miles of his favorite roads these past two days and we are both extremely grateful for his time and his friendship. Thanks Mike!

Frank is from Wyoming, works for an American company, has lived in Vera Cruz for a number of years and his job assignment has had him in West Africa for the past three years. He inspects the installation of seamless piping used in the gas/oil industry. Much of the product is made here in Vera Cruz. It was great meeting Frank, a real cool dude! And is moto is nice too!

I hope to see and ride again with both of these fine gentlemen!

Behind Frank lies the little bay where Hernan Cortez dismantled some of his ships and set fire to the rest to ensure that his men would not lose courage and mutiny but go forward with his conquest of México. Just a few hundred feet to Frank's right are the remains of the building where Cortez's men observed the first Mass conducted in the Americas.

Frank is facing the mountains just off the beach where the Totonac people came down to join forces with Cortez against the reigning Aztec culture.

Hey Donnie and Schizz, it was a pleasure to ride with you guys, I know Frank enjoyed himself and he is a man of few words ha,ha!
Those were some pretty good laughs we had last night at the expense of the Harley riders!
Have a safe ride and enjoy Oaxaca. I'll be following you along on this thread, hope you can come back through soon. I'll bet we'll both have some new Harley jokes by then.

Frank's always talking with his finger, it's like his own dialect LOL!

Day 10 - July 8

SPOT Tracker: http://share.findmespot.com/shared/f...HniLtAIdNJx2vv

I going solo! I had a great time riding with JD, as well as Mike and Frank! But, now it is time to move on down the road!

BTW, I realized this morning that my right passenger foot peg and part of the bracket had fallen off. It had broken a couple years ago and I had it welded. I think it was all of those rough roads that Mike took us on! It is his fault!
