I had a bit of trouble locating my host when I got to the Tapachula area, but the connection was made and we went to the place I am staying. I will share some of that when I do Day 12, probably this afternoon.

Day 12 - July 10

Ok! I am staying with the extended family of Karen from the Central America RR. They have a very modest, one room house, petitioned off in some places with curtains. This may seem very bizarre to you folks, but this is the way most of the people down here live! There is some furniture and I even have a BED! I am not sleeping on the FLOOR! If you travel Mexico, do yourself a favor and experience the "real" way folks here live. And be damn sure that you respect what your find whether it is different than what you are unaccustomed to or not!

I took none of the picture that I am going to post. The photographers range from age five to over 30, I will show what they shot!

And, I will attemp to provide names and how they are related to Karen, whose real name is Ana Bertha. Her family calls her Ana.

This is Tomasa, the mother of the last three children, a sister to Amanda and a cousin to Ana. Y'all got that straight? As I said, I didn't take any of the pictures and this is the way they took them.

In the yellow is Anjel, a brother to Amanda and Tomasa. In the maroon is another cousin.

I think there used to be a ferry there. The last time I went across on the ferry the bridge was being built. Loving the report!

Stop drooling boys, she is only 15 years old!
Hahahahaha! If I were in your shoes, I would not hesitate to say Si!
As usual, I'm jealous. Enjoy your return to Mexico.
