Cool stuff, I like that green window van. Unique top.

just read the whole thread. great job and glad to see you spending time with your dad. I hope you had your son do a few things on the build also. As my father fades away with Alzheimer's I find myself remembering fondly all the trips we went on as kids. All over the west many times and one big across the states trip. brings a tear to my eye. Good for you to be both a good father and a good son.

No updates recently but I have been using it a lot, been busy playing with bikes again This winter I still plan on fabricating a roof rack for it as well as adding Solar. I'll post updates as they happen :-)

It was AMAZING after over a hundred miles of dirt and gravel, and it was enough to feed 50 people may of whom had seconds.

I am not sure how that rack would work with a pop up, but I am sure Tom will figure out something amazing...

great thread

Brilliant machines. Here's mine...

Pretty inspired by the red / white one above. Reminds me of a r100gspd - another of my favorite things. That roof rack sure would look good on my bus too! Quite Jealous that you guys have Go-Westy etc, not much for mods here in Oz. I do have a set of 16" CLK rims that, one day, will find themselves fitted. Still has the 2.1 wasserboxer just ticked over 200k km (125k miles) and until it fails will suffice. Hodakaguy...your bus is seriously brilliant. Cheers!

Absolutely awesome build, really enjoyed reading it. One thing I noticed is it might be handy to build some sort of swivel for the passenger seat to allow it to face rear wards when parked. Could be nice for eating inside or if you're stuck in there killing time in bad weather.

Thanks, we've really been enjoying it :-). Actually both the drivers and passengers seats fully swivel, I rarely turn the drivers seat but use the pass side swivel often. Now that you mention it I don't think I have any pics with the front seats turned around...hmmm.
