S10 Best Price Update
Abernathy's in Union City,Tn. used to be one of the best places to pick up a S10 for min. dollars (under 13K) but now they have pushed over the 13K mark.
![]() Any updates on dealers with better prices?

Queensbury, NY....
This dealership has them on special for $12,999. I am sure you might be able to do a bit better as the bike season passes on by.

Just put down a deposit on a zero mile Raven... Rick at Blalock Cycle in Warrenton, VA , about 180 miles North of me, is about as nice a guy as I have ever dealt with. $13,447---Tax, title, tags, processing/dealer setup, lunch for the staff...heck... I didn't care what they called their fees... Out the door, that's a good deal! Now I need to buy my $44 train ticket one way, and I will go pick up my bike July 10th (either working or out of town on Vacation til then) and ride her home!
Team Powersports in Raleigh NC still has a Demo and were willing to part with it for about $12,800-ish (possibly a bit more negotiating to be had). Once I added travel with my trailer/diesel truck (no cheap train ride there), and then VA taxes, tags, etc, it wasn't a great deal. Bad thing is, there are two in my area.... but dealers in a "Navy town" will not come down on their prices. Best around here was $13,500 before fees, taxes, etc! Now... on to the farkles!!!

I understand that Yamaha offers dealers rebates/incentives/discounts (whatever you want to call them) on these bikes from time to time.
![]() Often they come every other month, which may help explain the up/down pricing from dealers. I'll re-look pricing when July hits as that month may coincide with a summer (Read: heat) sales dip and prompt a lower sales price. Also the 2013 models are probably in the 90 days window so there is another push to move a bike. Don't know for sure just speculating.

I've been told dealer cost on a Tenere is $12,500 so I'd say anything under 13k is a good deal. Maybe they'll have some rebates on them soon.

That's good, I'm on the edge of running up to Romney's. Their website even shows $12,795 and they have 9 right now. I figured I could get back to VA with title/tax/etc for $13,164 less the costs of the trip. What I like is they are up front, no back and forth with the salesman/manager games. ANything in the mid 13's appears to be a good price.

I did a search on evil bay and saw some interesting prices. Although I'm not really comfortable bidding on a new vehicle as I'm wary of some hidden pricing that will "appear" when I go to pick up the ride.

South Texas...
Does anyone know of a decent OTD price in South Central Texas?
I got offered $14,800 OTD, at Kent's, in Selma. I'm thinking, "no". I keep hearing of all these great prices...some even approaching $13,000 OTD. So, I kinda' set my MAX at $14,000 OTD. I hope someone offers me a deal, quick, before I do something really stupid...like go-out and purchase another Euro bike. ![]() .

I had several dealers in Arkansas go to $13.3 before I got mine at $13 even OTD.

Thanks for the replies, Gents. 13 OTD could force me to take a roadtrip to Arkansas. I was trying to do the math, yesterday (fuel, overnight stay, dinner, etc.) If I did that, I would probably drag my little trailer up there, behind my trusty (gas) 3/4-ton, which gets about 9 MPG. Olie, are you talkin' about the place in New Braunfels? A buddy was telling me that those folks don't "deal". I may try to swing-by there and see what they have to say. I can test ride one at Kent's. Problem is...I don't wear pants unless someone died. So, everytime I ride up there, I'm always in shorts...and they won't let me ride it. I threw a pair of pant in my topbox, a few weeks back, thinking I might swing-by. But, alas, life has gotten in the way of my plans. Thank again... J.J. .
