Thumb Hatfield-McCoy Buffalo Mountain

I did three days of off-road riding at the Buffalo Mountain portion of the Hatfield-McCoy trail system in West Virginia last weekend.

I had some trouble with the carb on my Gas Gas (broken float) but had a great time. I'm planning on going back for more this fall :).

Nice video! Great trail system. That entry point to trail 197 is just plain scary, there was no way I was doing that one on the KLR last summer. The cider blocks are a nice touch though. Glad no one got hurt on the spills. Nice technique on the power off steep downhill. Pictures and video rarely do those areas justice for how steep some of them really are.

Where did you guys stay in Matewan. Did you get to meet Bill from the Blue Goose?

Thanks for sharing!

Yeah, there are definitely some steep ones out there! I think I need to change my brake fluid :).

We rented a little cabin right outside of Delbarton. Didn't get to meet Bill.

That's some cool ridin' there. You made my knees go weak a couple of times when you were riding down the top of some of them ridges.
