Estes Park Riding High

`I'm just a lurker but this is my first post, please be nice.

I'm in EP for the week with my bike and wondered if there are any good Dualsport roads/trails around to ride. I know about Fall River road and one over by 7 highway .
Any help would be great.

Thanks
Mick

I am not aware of a lot of dual sport roads near Estes (doesn't mean there aren't any). However the link below has some 4WD roads that are to the south and to the north of the park and I assume you would be more interested in the ones to the south as I believe there is a fire north west of Fort Collins. I have heard that Switzerland Trail off of Hwy 7 is a good dual sport ride and not difficult. Just a suggestion though, I think you will probably receive better responses from the Rockies Regional forum. However the link below will give you some options in the area.

Thanks for the site. I found some good looking backroads from the map.

After a few roadblocks we found a road up from Drake to the top of one of the roads. We just keep going up . The road was Storm Mountain and we ended up on a park road, very rocky. Had a good time, bike did well.

Looked at Toddlers pictures and I'm not man enough to ride 250 miles. It did look like a cool ride. Going after another one tomorrow south of town.

Thanks for the info

Mick

That is cool. Next time you are in Colorado you should plan on checking out the Alpine Loop in the San Juan's (Ouray, Silverton, Lake City) and or Taylor Park. Those are my favorite areas of Colorado.
