That sprocket got messed up.

And are hotels cool with you stuffing your bike in them? I must say, I love those pictures, but none beat the one with the guy who took his bike into a shower.

So I got a message from C3 last night. Unfortunately I missed his phone call as I was at work, but he was in Lakeview, Oregon. Unfortunately his laptop is broken (he didn't elaborate), so he won't be posting anymore till he's home probably. He also mentioned his luggage rack being held on with rope, so I'm guessing he took a tumble and broke his computer. But he said he's doing fine. Hopefully his bike doesn't cause too much more trouble, he also said it was leaking oil a bit...

I'll keep you guys posted if I hear anything else.

Great ride report!

You were making this trip just as I was crossing the country with a minivan full of wife, kids and dog. I thought I had a challenging trip until I read your report. :loll

Thanks for sharing.

Cheers,
Dave

C-3's ride is the perfect definition of perseverance. I would spell that with caps and in bold letters making it P-E-R-S-E-V-E-R-A-N-C-E. Looking forward to the wrap-up on your ride report C-3.

Love your determination. Each problem has been an adventure and will make this ride truly unforgettable. I am looking forward to the finish.
