I think I'll take a crack at using the metal gaiter clamps (instead of zip-ties). If that fails, it''l be back to the o.e. gaiters. Thanks for the feedback.

Phoenix, AZ and TM40 pumper carb
TM40 pumper and Phoenix, AZ Emissions Test
Has anyone ever gone through and PASSED, Maricopa County emissions on with TM 40 pumper equip DR650? Been working in Afghanistan the last year and a half and have a TM40 from Procycle waiting to be put on my DR but I also need to register and go through emissions testing, before I'm off to Colombia on my DR. Any suggestions?? |

DesertQben,
I don't know anything about how they test things in AZ but if in doubt, go through, and pass, the test with the stock carb first. Then install the pumper carb. Jon...

I have a 39mm fcr on my 05 dr650 and no problem with emisions. I have been told that the numbers are not that strict for motorcycles, they pass virtually everyone. As you know maricopa cnty is the only place in the usa that test bike emissions, its all about the money.

Jetted properly, shouldn't matter what carb is on it.

goggo2460,
I'm assuming those were before and after photos and not the other way around. Looks like you had a project that turned out pretty well in the end. Jon...
