So sayeth Travlr 45,

"I'm ready for it. Good time to plan for Saturday would be 12:30. Place opens at noon. Should be early enough for everyone to enjoy the food and still make it home before dark."

Looking forward to seeing some lunch buddies. Travel safe.

Sad to say, I won't make it tomorrow. One of these days I won't have to work so much. Y'all post up pictures so I can see what I miss. You boys take care of Jub, now!

I've not ate at the Old School Diner, it's on my short list.I've heard it's quite the experience (as is Speed's Kitchen...right around the corner from OSD). I'm looking forward to the pics.

I've only got a couple of days off 'tween now and my deployment....I may make time for a tag. Otherwise, catch you guys in a year!

Needs to come inland next time so I suggest Benton Lee's steakhouse at Gray's Landing.

Looks like a motley crew there for sure lol. Wish I could have been there but 1st week back on the job and having a ship starting up Friday would have been a little hard to say " I can't be here" :). Glad I could plan it for y'all tho lol. I'll make the next 1 tho.

Thanks everyone for the great company and conversation at lunch. Missed all you that had to work or were otherwise spoken for.

The Old School Diner experience was certainly as advertised: great food in a very unique setting with the Chef as gracious as the food was tasty.
After lunch I continued on down to the end of Harris Neck Road and it ended here in a very nice park.

I think this is the Barbour River.

Hope everyone had, is having Mr&Mrs Ernbo, a safe trip home.

Well thanks to everyone for the wonderful afternoon. It was a great day that started early in the western burbs of the ATL, then meeting Jub en-route and taking back roads to the one and only Old School Diner.

626.3 miles round trip and I snagged a courthouse on the way home.
