Thanks everyone for the great company and conversation at lunch. Missed all you that had to work or were otherwise spoken for.

The Old School Diner experience was certainly as advertised: great food in a very unique setting with the Chef as gracious as the food was tasty.
After lunch I continued on down to the end of Harris Neck Road and it ended here in a very nice park.

I think this is the Barbour River.

Hope everyone had, is having Mr&Mrs Ernbo, a safe trip home.

Well thanks to everyone for the wonderful afternoon. It was a great day that started early in the western burbs of the ATL, then meeting Jub en-route and taking back roads to the one and only Old School Diner.

626.3 miles round trip and I snagged a courthouse on the way home.

Clue? Use you zoom, google, then follow the road.
Find and follow the Islands Pkwy....
This still stands and awaits someone, anyone, preferably a dedicated rider.

Tag!

The end of Islands Highway as it intersects with Youmans.

To get to this Liberty County Church, you have to cross I-95 on the road that this church is on (and named after). You will, surprisingly, pass a Pit Bull Farm.

That is a tough one! I've been doing a pretty thorough google maps recon and the only roads I can find that cross 95 in Liberty county are Isle of Wight Road, Highway 84 (it has many different names), Retreat Road, and Highway 17 (again, many names). I can't find any churches in the area with any of those names, and I can't find a church in the satellite imagery that looks like the one pictured! Anyone else have a good idea?

Although the road crosses I95, it does not have an exit. It also intersects hwy17.

Any of you pot lickers up for a Sunday ride? Maybe some dirt roads or trails? Maybe a lunch stop thrown in somewhere.

You can get in some dirt roads on this tag.

Somehow I think I'd upset some people if I took a joyride to Liberty County. Jet fuel is expensive!

I totally ignored the number post in the picture.. I looked up that address on Retreat rd, and sure enough, there is a church there. Unfortunately, looking at street view (2007 imagery) and google earth (2012) it's the wrong church! Actually, there are a bunch of churches down there. I guess I just need to ride down and poke around. Looks like there's a fair bit of dirt to ride on the eastern side of 95 as well!

I've been out of town a few weeks, I surely did not mean to be a thread killer. Maybe this hint will move the tag? Google Maps has the street name wrong. It's as depicted on the sign.
