When I was travelling I had the opportunity to use a Community Garage to do an oil change.
These are a workshop that has bike lifts and tools that you hire on a hourly basis to work on your bike. Great for those with limited space and also gives you access to specialised tools that normal wouldn't want to buy for a once off job.
At the time I thought what a great idea - be nice to see one of these in Brisbane.
Well two guys Aaron Green and Marcin Artur are looking to make this a reality and looking for some crowdfunding to see it happen.
Their idea is pretty simple crowdfunders are basically buying upfront membership and depending on much you put up access to the workshop for a specific number of hours.
The workshop will initially have 4 lifts the usual tools, bearing and seal pullers along with access to fabrication gear.
The full details are here -> http://pozi.be/motoarcade. I think it would be great to see this get up.
Just from a disclosure point of view:- I currently have no financial interest in this project, but as I am keen to see this happen that may change.
