visual pollution

Pass the soap box please -

Please for the country's sake - no stickers in the wilderness.

Stickers have their valid place as a promotional tool but there arises the issue of whether or not the sticker will be used in a responsible fashion so as not to contribute to the demise of the appeal of that which would be promoted.

Just your kids bedroom wall should be as far as they should go or maybe on the bike but pristine landscapes are becoming fast overrun with similar 20th century 'i belong to this tribe' or 'i pissed here also' indicators....

Else you become guilty of similar, take heed of the damage wrought upon both primates and landscapes by modern culture and it's icons.

Having said that, i feel that MOTORBIKIN , PHIL H et al have approached the wilderness ride thing in as responsible and gentle manner as anyone could and i applaud his restraint in the production and manner of distribution/promotion of these incredible exploits.

My point is that when i next get out there again, i want to see what he's seeing and what i saw many decades ago, for many decades into the future.

Unspoilt and unmarked primeval terrain.

Gawds country indeed.....

Nice work Phil and team.

The latest Motorbikin' is an extravaganza, a Triumph. It works on many levels. I see it as 2012's most significant contribution to western Phil-osophy. The events on the Gunbarrel provide new insights into the human condition, the dilemas faced by the post modern man and the complexities of propositional logic. While contemporary in it's outlook, Big Cox (a student of psychoanalyitics) reminds the audience of Freud's concept of the unconscious and conscious mind. Although there is a segment that I believe would have been best relegated to the cutting room floor I still give it 5 stars.
