That rear tank looks awesome!
Except that my exhaust is on the rhs ![]() Still, well done! I may have to pick up one of those skid plates for some much needed protection. How well does it cover the petcock? |

As for the bash plate they fit the 02 so that all good and the protection is second to none ![]() ![]() ![]() I think you would be unlucky to hit the petcock. Cheers Matt |

KTM 640 Rally Bash Plate
I thought I would also post in this forum as there are probably more of them in use in OZ than most other places...........
I just installed a rally skidplate from KTMatt on my KTM 640.......... ..........http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...ghlight=ktmatt What a well made piece of gear. My question is.........what do you guys put in the side pods?? The only concern I have is that I could be in wet/muddy conditions, so the stuff in the pods might get wet??? Thanks ________________

A bit of custom work.
A little bit of custom tank and bash plate work of the mighty TransAlp.
![]() ![]() ![]() The Bash plate is made out of 5mm 5083 and the tanks 3mm 5005 Alloy with as many bends as possible to eliminate as much welding as possible. I think the RHS ended up with 11L and the RHS about 10L. The tanks where made to fit in with the new custom twin pipes and the bash plate protects the pipe that crosses over under the bike. go for it
I have this bash plate on my KTM 690 R. No regrets. Solid, neat and functional. Bit expensive but really in a class of it's own. If you have travel in mind, this is the one!! Hell you could probably race with it too!! KTMatt is open to ideas to customize for your needs or wants.
