1973 Honda SL100 summer project.

I put together a pretty nice cb125 last summer. This summer I'm going to try to do a little flat tracker trail cafe mash up. I'm trying to stay under 1000$ total. So far I'm in the bike 150$ probably not worth even that. Clean title tho and the motor has compression. I need a battery as the previous owner said it starts pretty good but idles high. We'll find out.

Battery: I plan on going with a SLA (sealed lead acid) as I did on my R90. In the case it will be 6v / 6ah. I found a few on amazon at 6v 6.5ah which I will use and cost me a whopping 12$. Shipped. I just can't seem to find one with post. Most have the crappy flat connectors.

Between now and then I'll pull the carb off clean it up and reassemble.

Put gas and see what happens. If anyone had a small headlight 6v they wanna sell for cheap let me know.

More to follow

Those new fangled 4 stroke things are just a passing phase, they will never catch on.

I don't know if I would chop up Honda's rarest model, the SL100 2-stroke. If I am not mistaken your bike is the only one in existence...

My oh my I didn't realize I posted here. I used the mobile app. How do I go about moving this to the proper forum.

Regardless. Yeah this thing is the on and only two stroke x2 sl100. It should be a fun project.

Couple more pic of this mess. And my workspace. Lol

The more I look at it the more I like the lines. Ill probably work on the look while waiting for a few parts from fleabay.

Then pull the motor and paint clean etc. then re-assemble.

I'm I'm this for the long haul which should be 3 months.. Lol. Seriously tho if I can be done by end of summer would be good.

Gotta keep pulling everything off.

Its seems pointless to get a carb kit when I can get a carb for the same price. Garbage carb off fleabay but I've heard of people having success w them.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Carburetor-H...340dba&vxp=mtr

Just gotta find out if the cb100 and sl100 share the same part.
