Sorry about the spill, Marty, glad you're back to type this.
With this, you just may be able to beat the clown for best tales to tell at the next RTE.

The end of this ordeal is in sight.
![]() I should get my insurance check tomorrow and the salvage company should haul the bike away on Friday. Have a cardiologist visit tomorrow and another CatScan next week. then the doctors' visits should space out to once or twice a year. thanks to everyone for their well wishes.

Glad you're feeling better but they are totalling your GSA for a sand nap? Holy cow, what did you do to it?

This was no ordinary dirt nap...
Well, looking at the photo on post #1, you might take a look at the dirt tracks. First, you will notice that there are no tracks between the bike and where the helmet lays about 10 feet further than the bike. You might also notice that the debris field does not have bike skid marks for the entire length of the photo. We know that the bike did land and somehow the latch on the top case is also broke..ass-over-teakettle manuever?

I suppose its lucky only your head was injured.
Easy to do a lot of damage if you land wrong, even at low speeds. |

That's quite a debris field. Did the insurance company take the Best Rest Pump and if so, how much do they want for it?

basically all the insurance company took was the bike and the fakrles that were broken or I couldn't get off.

Hopefully you claimed your riding gear too. They won't tell you, but gear can frequently be part of the claim, especially helmets.
