Tech had a chance to avoid UND and managed to screw it up Saturday night. I'd much rather see them go to marriucci vs grand forks.

Copley has been hit or miss of late, and our other freshman Jamie Phillips has been getting more starts. Nearly shutout SCSU last week and did manage on friday,. Maybe he will end up being the man for the playoffs?

Even though the year has not been great, I have to feel good about the team going forward. Just about every team leader or anyone doing anything productive is a freshman or sophomore. Too bad everyone is leaving the division - next year I would almost guarantee a home playoff game in this version of the WCHA, and feel like they can compete for a top 3 seed in the new look WCHA. Mankato is also fairly young and talented, and I hear Bowling Green is also on a similar upswing. I'd lean towards those three up top next year.

Thoughts on SCSU holding the tiebreak over UM, but UM having the MacNaughton in Bemidji Saturday night when St. Cloud clinched Friday night?

Things didn't go so great in the Mountain time zone last night.

Canisius pulled an Air Force last night at the Cadet Ice Arena. The game was tied untill :07. Falcons played well enough, missed it by that much, not something they usually do. Last week of the regular season, two weeks ago, the Falcons destroyed league #1 Niagra 5-2 and 6-1!

Something CC usually does is be as mediocre as they can be. True to form they split the points every single week in 2013 except 2 Ls Jan. 5-6. The last Denver series CC took 3/4 points, every other week they got 2/4. Absolute mediocrity. DU sputtered too and CC is the last team they wanted to draw for round 1. Tigers would LOVE to have some Gold Pan revenge.

Left out Dad's school, New Hampshire...

Hockey East is as bad as it gets with 3 points covering the top 6 teams. UNH Wildcats wound up 4th by winning tiebreakers. They lost last night but won today over Providence. Everything is a tiebreaker at this time of the year. Most games are decided by one goal. LOVE IT!!

Looks like AFA is out this year. It is probably due to the fact that Jurgen didn't make his annual pilgrimage to C-Springs this year. Sorry Zoomies.
