I know it is also a first come basis camp ground.

But I have seen large groups there.
It seem to be a little bigger and can accommendate more peeps.

Just a thought..

No camp fire will be a downer... That's 33.33% of the fun.
?maybe?

You can have my couch for $150 a night and you get a Corona for breakfast.

I have never had an issue getting multiple spots near each other at troy. You cant really save spots but you park your bike on spur and put a lawn chair in another and so on. Also the first person there just fill out a name on the payment envelope and stick the receipt on the post at the site. I did this over the 4th of July and had no issues. Saved 5 spots and could have had 10. The first person there just need to be bold and save some spots. Most people will just keep driving and find another place. Rangers are not there as often since Black Rock Station is closed. Usually in the morning is when they stop by. Worst case they just tell you that you can save spots.

Thanks guys. The artwork came out very nice and goes well with the chocolate brown shirt.

We need a minimum order of (50) shirts to make this happen.

I updated the first page with the shirt info. The shirts will be delivered at camp. Jim (1224r), I got you covered.

I have been up there more than dozen times. Campfires have never been an issue in the overflow as long as you have your permit and it's in one of the many rock pits that are already there.

Fire permits here:

Extreem fire danger is in effect due to dry conditions = No fires outside of developed campgrounds, this went into effect the second week of July.

Rich, the shirts look great, XL for me please...

I will most likely change the campground. I'm bringing my son who has been longing to camp and having a fire is essential.

Hopefully the fire restriction is lifted before this trip.

Yes, bring on the summer rain! It was only slightly damp up there yesterday from a recent thunderstorm.

when we were up there a few weeks back, ALL the campgounds-even the ones far out there had "no fire zone" signs up, except " fish and troy campgrounds" !
when we tried to get a campfire permit from the ranger station, we found a sign stating that the RS was closed till further notice! we then tried to flag a couple boys driving a ranger pick-up for one, they did not have any in their truck said to get one @ the store????

in the two days we were there, they drove by but never stopped
if u are gonna have a fire, there is plenty of wood on the ground to burn

you guys have fun

Not true. I was able to download and print a fire permit no problem at all. Keep in mind you must have a permit even for the "approved" fire rings at Troy and Fish creek.
