According to the brochure...unladen weight (?) road ready fully fueled is 183*, Dry weight is 165.

Added this bit (fine print) as per brochure

*According to guidelines 93/93EWG with all fuids, fuelled with at least 90% of its usable tank volume.

Took the demo for a spin today.

Mine is on a truck heading south

I think the package is sound but needs a bit of work.

Remember this bike is built to a price point. $10k ride away. 2 year waranty.

I like the engine (it only had about 30km on it) shows a lot of promise and the suspension (firm but good). It was a little taller than I expected (fine for me). This is the first efi bike I have ridden in years (always carbed bikes) apart from a K years ago - can't say I noticed any difference. More to follow.

G'day Davo, The stat sheet on the first page of the thread says:unladen weight to DIN road ready = 186kg...... but it doesn't mention "fully fueled"!?!?

is there something i'm not understanding?

if they are 165kg dry then thats pretty good

i think these will sell well once a few blokes get some k's on them and have no probs... (one more to choose from)

better get B&B onto a bash plate for them.

I tried to hit the roughest bits on Captains Flat Rd but could not shake it off line.

Slim with a big plastic rack - for a plastic rack it seems pretty solid.

I can find 3 possibly 4 potential mount points on both sides of the bike for pannier racks -2 off the rack and 2 off the pillion pegs / steel mount. It has a steel subframe and swingarm (some people think that this is a bad thing).

Sir, I will refer you to Page 18 Dimension / weight... Dry weight 165 kg

It feels nimble (like a DR) for this style of bike.

I am not so sure about the seat, it is nice and firm but it pushes you forward a bit and it has a lump in it that you kind of have to sit on to get weight on the back wheel. I however, have a unique arse

The swift retracting sidestand did not retract swifty as mentioned in the sepo posts (non issue) though I reckon it could do with a bigger foot / pad for stopping in sand.

I've ordered the mini screen and bash plate (which will require some beefing up).

90% of usable tank volume for the DIN std.

Still can't work out why the Tenere is such a heavy bike, up in the 800cc bike range.

Thanks for the pics!

Looking forward to hearing more about it.
p.s. Am I the only one who wants the Strada/Road version?

Seen the picture of that catastrophic failure on the front forks of a 650GS
(Sertao?)?

Let's hope the Husky isn't light because the forks are like that (and other
vital parts).

I also scratched my head once or twice re: Tenere weight, but even the
MT03 (same engine) is rather heavy at 175 kg (390 lb), but Aprilia managed
to pull the weight down to what the Husky weighs using the same MT03
& Tenere engine.

..and the Pegaso Strada & Trail are virtually twins of the Husky, just seem
to have a comfier seat. Same basic idea behind them and same weight.
