got the spare fuel container mounted up.im running a hose from the bottom to the top so if i run out of fuel i can pop the hose off the top fitting and it is long enough to reach the fuel tank on the bike. i might have to blow some air into the top fitting to get the fuel going but its better than pushing the bike! i just need to add a vent to the fuel line and it will be ready to go.its also good so when i see another bike out of gas i can transfer the fuel into their tank without too much trouble.

its hidden pretty good,it actually holds close to a quart and a half so i should get a little over 20 miles out of it. no more messing with the msr camp fuel bottles.

Nice!

What you've done with that lowly beemer almost (almost) makes me want to do something similar.

front shinko 244 tire holding up great too. 4,000 miles on it so far and using lots of front brake with minimal wear.

thanks RingSteel! i wanted a tw so bad but like you i kept thinking if i would be happy with the power and size drop. i finally decided to go for it and modify the dakar. if a manufacturer made a bike like the tw with a bigger engine i think it would be one of the most popular dualsports around. i cant believe the how big the tw crowd is! looking at all the custom tws on the computer is amazing. i see all the tws they turn into choppers, bobbers, cafe racers and so on but i love the looks of the stock tw, i wanted to make mine look like a stock tw lol!
I agree for exactly the same reasons

Nice work.....next time use a dummy muffler for the aux tank. It'll look like dual exhaust.
