What should this button do? 1971 R75/5
New to me bike....has not run in 31 years but does now due to a couple of more burns to my hands.
This black button on the left side handle bar appears to have three positions plus a compression option. Compression is the horn. What should the other three positions do? Middle nothing. Up --kill switch? Down--flasher? So far I have no way to kill the bike besides pulling key out. I guess you cannot attach pics any more? |

/5 switches..
Left: Up - High beam on Middle - regular headlight Down - High beam flash In - horn Right: Up - Left turn signal Middle - No turn signal Down - Right turn signal In - Starter Also, on the /5's there is no "kill switch" other than the key.

Perfect drummerdude. That explains the no kill switch. Just need to figure out why the horn is not working now.
So the only way to turn the bike off is by pull the key out? or turning the petcocks off. pecos screwed with this post 07-15-2012 at 07:48 AM |
