NYC Airhead Mechanic
Anyone out there know an expert Airhead mechanic (especially with the electrical) in the New York City area?
I have an R60/5 that I am having some electrical issues with. The coils get really hot with just the battery turned on.
Also, I've found the horn connecting wires, and it shows a little bit of amperage when checked with a meter, but does not power the new replacement horn.

Tom Cutter is in the Philly area. His shop is called Rubber Chicken Racing Garage.

I called him for some rear drive advice and he was very helpful.

Peter over at http://www.motoborgotaro.com/
In Brooklyn - he's great, really great - tell him Chris Perry sent you. He's done me some really good turns of the wrench, really looks at everything. Highly recommended!
There's also Tom at Motorcycle Works (also in Brklyn). Motorcycle Works Ltd
316 Carroll St, Brooklyn, NY - He's good, maybe not as much an airhead guy as Peter but cheap and fast, knows his stuff.
PS - electrical on an airhead is usually pretty easy to fix without a mechanic - do some searches here, very simple to repair or upgrade the elec systems.
