Question BMW R60/2 registration problem

Hello Guys
Need your help
Just bought 1962 BMW 60/2 VIN is 627646 and fail to get New Jersey registration because…. “VIN is not in our system”
I do have valid California title on hands.
How I can prove that this is proper VIN and resolve situation?
Thank you all in advance

You need to go to a law enforcement agency with the VIN verification form (can get that at the DMV - they can also provide more details), and the bike, and they will verify the VIN. Then take the VIN verification form and CA title to the DMV to have it retitled in NJ.
