What an incredible journey and fantastic photos. Man, you have put on a lot of miles since I ran into you in 2011 in Panama.

another good thing by doing this is the files are so much smaller so they upload a lot quicker to smugmug when you are in areas with bad internet connections, but for websites like this the clarity of the photo is not diminished too much...i also keep my large files without the watermark just incase anyone wants a large print via smugmug all they need t do is PM me and can give them a password for that file
Thank you Paul! I will start playing with Picasa as I want to document my rides and share. Taking baby steps few more years until hopefully my time will come to do bigger rides. It is an inspiration to follow your ride reports, the pictures are awesome not only by quality but the subjects captured. I already started thinking what kind of bike I need to get and prepare for a real adventure like yours. I am a sucker for comfort while doing long miles, will definitely have some kind of Alaska leather sheepskin on the saddle Maybe I'll just get a run off the mill generic thumper.. don't know about all the exotic nice brands out there like Husky or Husaberg, how well they last in the real world. Fact is people have ridden any brands, make and model from Goldwings to Harley dressers to 250cc or less bikes. For me the bike needs to have some "soul" that makes me want to ride it. And I find that more power while nice to have, gets me in trouble with the MAN. My 110,000 miles old beemer will be waiting in the garage for any trips like South of the border and beyond. Thanks again, I wish you safe travels and interesting ones if you want them to be so. We are all living vicariously through your eyes and words meanwhile.

Paul,
Thank you very much for taking the time to document your experiences so that we can jealously follow along. Reading along makes it impossible not to want to start to plan my own trip.

Cheers

Great shots. It looks like a place where one needs to be able to enjoy his own company.

if you like the feeling of being in the middle of nowhere, and breaking down physically, mentally or mechanically i can give you loads of waypoints on this track that you'll be enjoying your own company for days if not weeks or months
