so waiting for my passport to be returned with a few visas...i guess you go riding!!!

in the desert

in the mountains

and when you return your passport is in your mailbox

Uzbekistan visa

Kazakhstan visa

GBAO permit which cost around $75 there but only costs $50 here

Tajikistan visa

...and the all important Russia visa, gone are the day of having to get business invitations and 1-3 month visas, and clench your butt cheeks as you arrive, now a THREE YEAR multiple entry is obtainable, this will be useful as i will be in and out of Russia a minimum three times and before getting more than a double entry was a real problem so i was told

very cool. Those visas are like tickets to adventure.
You have been through a lot, reading the first few pages of this RR.
Looking forward to seeing where the road takes you.
Thanks for taking the time to post your story.

John, i thought for clarity it kind of follows on so it seemed a better idea for new subscribers to be able to read the whole story from the beginning all on one ride report...good to have you back

a friend of mine is in the process of getting his Russian visa arranged and for him it's still the butt-clenching experience... with an invite from a local company and everything. do you know where I can find some more info on the 3year multi entry visa?

+1 on the russia info, seems it is more reasonable to go south then east but I am more eager to go east then south but limit the south to oz.
