I'm staying local. The family of a PhD student of mine lives in Cascade (BBQ tonight and background ammo on my student!! Haaa). So, I am using this as base. I've driven by many of these places over the years, and it is amazing what is close. I've been doing 100-mile runs (or less) on gravel each day so far. Easy riding and back before it gets hot! So relaxing, but a bit cold in the AM. Good thing I have down bag. (snerk).

This afternoon is bike lube day. This morning I had to skip out on Rampart Range Rd (still closed due to fire).

Frog Bayou West??

Garden of the Gods was great early on a Monday.

Mouth, on a scale of 1-10 this meal was a 10+. The coast down the mountain was one of the coolest things I've ever done on a bike. We started coasting because Bili was really low on fuel. We made it and we all enjoyed it.

Lone Duck addendum

Really fun day. Went to Helen Hunt Falls (not the actress), a bug museum (nerd alert), and on a great road on Cheyenne mt. Not many phone pictures. Separate report later.

Oops. Camera discharged when getting gas. For Toyman.

Side view (bigger than it looks, ahem)

Bug museum

Huge, weird weather vane.

Fun ride report

Hey Boys,

Enjoying the ride report.

I'm a transplanted Razorback geologist that has lived in Steamboat Springs for the last 30 years.

You're not missing anything back in NW AR ....... I was just in Sedalia, MO for the BMW Rally and it was pretty damn hot there and back. I saw 107 on my thermometer at one point .......... but it was mostly just around 102 to 104.

When will you guys be in Echo Park and riding the Bench Road? I could show up with cold beers!

Get in touch via PM if you need anything. Ride safe and have fun!

Rob

That sounds like a Whooooo Pig Soooooooie!!!

to me Charlie.

:

I heard the High heeled boots that Albie bought actually clashed with the fishnet "riding pants" he brought to wear in the many motel rooms yall would share on this trip.

It does look like fun though.
