Thanks for the tip, talking with him now. I've decided to possibly open it up to something a bit longer as well so I can throw the kegerator and the chest freezer on there as well.

I'm looking for some Honda XR650R goodies, aka = BRP, starting with a gas tank larger than the OEM - IMS and Clarke offered some in the 3 and 4 gallon range...not so sure I need the Valdez 6-7 galloners

let me kinow what you've got laying around...skid plates, exhaust systems, farkles, etc

P.S. I've got a bunch of XR600R goodies to get rid off/trade, will be posting for sale soon

P.S.S. DRZ 400 sprockets, new upgraded clutch pack, air filter, cam chain tensioner, etc pretty much wear items I thought would be needed for a Alasks trip but never took

Anyone have a fork tool for a KLR? This is the one to remove the damper rod. I'll make my own, but can't see what is needed until I get the current rod out.

If nobody has one in NoCo, I'll just hit it with the impact driver and see what happens.

I have a home made one (all thread covered by poly tubing with properly sized nuts - It works great on the old style KLR forks 2007 and eariler - you can borrow it or I can tell you how to make one - I'd have top measure the sizes I uses - pretty easy though.

You could probably have the Dude pick it up and return it...He says he likes that kind of thing.

Cool. I would like to just build my own. So, it's a hex on the end? Let me know what size hex and I'm set. I'll just weld a bolt to the end of a long T-handle.

5/8 in -11 3 ft long all thread I covered mine with poly tubing to protect my forks from the threads.

4 - 5/8" hex nuts (these fit a 24 mm socket)

Also: I used 1/2" stainless flat washers to separate the PVC preload spacer from the fork cap.

Lowes had all the parts.

Thanks man! I'll build one tonight.

FYI, for others working on forks, I've built 5-6 different fork tools over the years. Give me a ring if you need to borrow something & I may have it on hand.

A friend is looking to fix up a DRZ400 he picked up recently off of CL...

He'd like a headlight fairing and front fender in Suzuki yellow, in decent used or new condition.

Anybody near Fort Collins setup to weld stainless? Just noticed a weld on my FMF megabomb header is cracking.

I am looking for a pocket rocket mini bike thing. I need a set of front forks and maybe a triple clamp. After a dozen beers this evening, I am jonesing to finish my like turbo'd BS powered mini chopper. Mini as in about 12" seat height

I need a small steel gas tank too. Something chopper looking. I have an old Yamaha tank off a little 100cc or so but it is not really suiting tho.

Long shot, but does anyone have any recommendations or hook ups for storage units in Fort Collins? Need some vehicle storage (Ford E250) and possibly a small unit, likely through June or so.

JJ's isn't bad. Storage units, plus controlled gated access with vehicle sports.
