fuel stop at cabo riviera

we still have to cross the peninsula and having enough fuel is mandatory

lunch stop...unfortunately this joint is closed

desperately looking for food, we rode inside the small town of riviera and lucky to found this gem

they are happy to see customers and we're equally satisfied with the food and service

i highly recommend this restaurant....good food and inexpensive...

after lunch, we got on hw 1 and stopped at the tropic of cancer marker

we followed the race course in reverse. this is najanja rd.

that cow jumped in front of us and good thing we were prepared to stop

the first half was smooth dirt

we got lost and have to ask for directions

nice and wide open sweeper

cory could not help take a pic of this awesome form....

this was part of the race course. no pics of the hard section.

since we both have no working gps, we navigate using the old fashion way...

cory on the #113 bike was just too fast for me

we made it to todos santos without running out of gas

trying on some genuine mex hats

treated myself with a much deserved rest and snack

that day, don henley would choose to be in my shoes...

on our way to cabo san lucas

used to be a little town and had dirt roads

a quick stop at a hotel i used to stay

the view

on the highway again heading back to san jose

perfect timing! friends were waiting, and we were back on time for dinner

thanks rich.

we could have gone farther, ride north and continue on. we didn't have a gps and running out of daylight. cory and i decided to take what we got and not to go for more than what we bargained for.

next day, we walked around in the center of san jose

lots of history. the place is clean and quiet.

a small joint run by a french/spaniard couple

you can see the kitchen separated by a glass window

go figure....hint: it's aluminum

cool....patrolling on a harley

check out the menu....love to eat here next time

we love our stay in san jose del cabo. compared to the other cities like san lucas and la paz, this place doesn't have the big city feeling.

san jose and loreto are my favorites! of course the little towns are top my list as well.

Looks like you guy's had a great time. I was lucky enough last year to still be in Baja and see the end of the Mexican 1000 in San Jose . Mucho fun.
